Considering that the gestation period is from 38-40 weeks, I have definitely crossed the halfway mark at 19 weeks. With my last ultrasound, Bean is scheduled to pop out right about the 2nd week of May, giving us around 5 months to prepare for his/ her presence. From where I'm lying lazily now, 5 months seems like a lifetime away, but deep in my heart, I know that those months will zip crazily by.
My OB-Gyne mom also told me that my stomach will start to balloon around this time, and me being me, I kind of didn't believe her. That is until my pants zippers kept on going lower and lower, with only the belly belt holding them in place and preventing a peekaboo moment. Even my officemates were amazed at how much my belly seemed to have grown in the last two weeks, and it will just keep on getting bigger. Way to go Bean!
