Our fourth ultrasound showed that Bean was developing wonderfully and was still a very active baby, but my OB-mom noted that my placenta was low-lying. Uh-oh.
She explained that the danger with a low-lying placenta is that it might end up covering the cervix (partial or complete placenta praevia), blocking the baby's exit and forcing the surgeon to get the baby out by caesarian section. My mom also said that with the placenta that low, there's a possibility that the baby will kick it, causing the mom to experience vaginal bleeding.
Ok, I am officially scared now.
